Been ages;

Assalamualaikum!

Hello fellow readers, I know this blog have been collecting dust for almost 3 months? I’m sorry for the lack of updates. Been really busy with working life. If you are still wondering what I am working as; I’ll let you know as I blog this. Yes, as you can see I have change my URL to ‘ladywiththehijab’, and discard the previous blog name (‘letsrunandescape’), nothing personal reasons though for discarding it. I feel like there’s a need to change the URL. Hmm, maybe kinda a mature link? hah, ok lame. Ok let’s start with a proper update!

So you must be curious about my working life isn’t? Plus my love life and etc,.. I’ll help you to answer those questions. Ready?

  1. What are you working as? I am working as a Teacher Aide (Teacher Assistant) in a special needs school. Yes, I am assisting the Teacher with kids with special needs such as Autism, ADHD (Hyper Active) and many other needs.
  2. What is Autism? – Autism is a lifelong condition that affects the way a person relates and communicates with others. A person with Autism, generally has impairment in his or her communicative, social interaction and imaginative abilities. However, it is important to let you know that autism is not a mental condition. (extracted from http://www.autismsg.org/autism/index.html)
  3. How long have you been working in this line? I am quite new to this line, I started off as an intern early this year (January 2012) for at least 3 months. After I internship ends, my supervisor asked me whether I would like to continue working in this line because they received feedback from teachers that I do really work well with the kids and the teachers too. ( I’m not trying to boast myself,.. because seriously I love kids, and you should take a note of that) I start in early April and till now,………
  4. Do you enjoy working here? – Absolutely, YES! I love working here eventhough I might face challenges everyday at work. Did you know I love challenges? I don’t like sitting and do nothing? I don’t mind playing catching with them, hehe. The number 1 thing I like working here is, I adore kids. Eventhough they are not normal like the other kids, to me they are the special ones. The one that God send from heaven. I love them more than any other kids. They will make you melt, they will cherish you more than others. May God bless them all (:

That’s all for my working life, you can drop a comment if you want to know more. Now, about my love life?

Nah, there’s nothing for me to talk about regarding my love life. I have yet to meet my partner or Mr Right. I know and I have faith in God that he is planning something awesome for me in future. That he have given me this wonderful kids to work with, in order for me to focus my mind in work, and on saving money for future wise. To spend quality time with my family and also to have ‘me’ time. To be able to go for vacation and tour the world? My students keep me going, they are the ones who never fail to make me smile. Hearing them calling my name melts my heart. I’m so blessed with what I have now that I couldn’t ask for more.

If God plan to send my partner tomorrow, the day after, next month, next year, two years later,.. I will be forever ready. But for now, come what may. I am not trying to stress myself. I will go with flow… upgrade myself with few courses and etc.

And,

I will try to update as much as I can.

Much love,

The soup of the day ; Mushroom Soup!

D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

I ordered Fish & Chip Light (Dory Fish), didn’t want to order the REGULAR one as I’m not sure why at the first place my tummy ain’t hungry at all at 6.15pm!

Jasmine ordered Spaghetti Chic’en Olio Light, she didn’t even finish her food too!

Before, during and after the dinner, all were chit chatting while me and Jasmine hold our stomach as we ate a lot that day! As for me one of the nurses (picture below) treated me Banana Split for lunch, in the centre we had Dark Forest Chocolate cake and even Blueberry cake! That answers to why we ain’t feel hungry at all! Heeee. 😀

This is Claire! The one whom treated me for lunch! ❤

I adore how professional she is while working (:

This is Jareal the funny guy whom wants to learn Malay Language badly and I have to assist him though! hehe.

Surely, I will miss my colleagues and staff at Assisi. I’ve gain a lot of experience, learned a lot to be patience, learn zillions of stuff here with the guidance of the wonderful staff and even volunteers! Not to forget my patients. The motivation for me to go to work. (I stay in Tampines and have to travel far to Upper Thomson) The one whom never fails to bright up my life and make me smile.

Thank You for having me in your life.
